Because one thread in 10 years doesn't justify a forum, and we just had a massive clear-out removing a whole load of under-used forums.
Put a thread like this in GD and it gets immediate responses. Put it in a grooming sub-forum and it may not get any, because most users wouldn't gravitate to such a sub-forum ... in our opinion.
Can't use soap due to perfume and the bars block the pores of my skin causing a rash. Have to use liquid soap now.
Records are better than CD's sometimes, if you want the original intended sound of the artist a vinyl LP is the way to go, sounds really good if you have a new needle on the player. I always preferred tapes though back in the day, my brothers tended to scratch my LP's, not forgetting tapes could be used in a Walkman.
Tape is awesome

Imagine the sound fidelity you could get on a symphony recorded with that!
I seen those tapes yesterday, 185 Terabytes storage, I should hope they do have some sort of directory structure for easily finding stuff on them.
I just hate to think what it would be like spooling towards the end of it to find a song!!
I reckon though these could be put to good use by the retro gaming community, storing backed up tape files for all your machines on 1 of these would be great. Create a new style tape deck for stuff like the C64, it would help future proof and preserve for generations to come.
Liquid soap make my hands dry out like the sahara...

I remember those magnetic holders! I couldnt deal with the magnetic part being all slimy from the soap! I remember reading alot into soap when i was buying it as a gift, Ferral and alot of you are right on some ingrediants being bad. I can't remember exactly but there are some really nice 'certain ingrediants' free and really nice ones out there (usually handmade/homemade/ebay etc...) But they were really really nice, some had properties for people with allergies/reactions etc... but they did cost a bit more, but smelt and felt so much nicer!
I agree though... a fresh bar of soap is so nice, rather than trying to get soap off a tiny bit that squiches or slips out of the sink and somewhere onto the floor
Imperial Leather, ahh always reminds of happy days in the 80's when we all tried to be 'posh' and show off with hoity toity sounding things we couldn't afford. Good job we learned our lessons eh....
