The best advice I can give is to NEVER POST YOUR PAYPAL ADDRESS IN PUBLIC. As soon as I did i was bombarded with such letters. I now have a gmail address especially for Nochex and Paypal. It is the safest way to go tbh with more a more scamming ********* out there. Have 3 emails:

    1) Friends + Family + Spam
    2) Business like Ebay
    3) Paypal and all money accounts

    Hope this helps, Alex

Simple advice is never use a link supplied in an email. If in doubt access your account via paypal website and update it through there. I just assumed that an email from ebay was a spoof a while back and ignored it. Turned out my credit card details had expired and they almost sacked me while I had a rake of stuff for sale.

had a few like that for ebay

I have had a few of these for ebay, one regarding my credit card details (i signed up before this was required, so they don't have my credit card details anyway) and another like the one above. I have talked to people who don't seem to realise that these are scam emails, and they don't always want listen.

It is a shame for those who don't know enough.

Ebay and Paypal same company so every customer s a potential target.

Good advice although you should be aware there was a virus kicking about that could create and entry in your hosts file so that if you typed www.paypal.com for example into a browser then the entry in your hosts file redirected you to a scam site which looked like paypal. Very nasty, so make sure your anti-virus is up to date people
