It's a bold move! And it's funny because normally Amazon work on competing in an area with ruthless efficency, their model for business survival is to be lean and as cheap as possible whilst providing the level of service people want.

This could be very interesting too see how it pans out.

Given that the smartphone space is kind of crowded, this is such a bold move. Sadly we've seen competition decrease, and I wonder who else will be considering entering the space of Android with less Google.

Been waiting to buy one of these new phones, but need a dual sim. Would love for amazon to release a new model of their phone with that option.

Will be interesting to see if people care about all the sensor functionality, but I think the phone will be let down by the GUI, if it is anything like the tablets.
