Help Need to Find a SUPER DISCO 60s/70s/70s Nightclub!

My friends and I are planning ato go out at the weekend to a superclub somewhere which plays 60s/70s 80s music. Im sure I remember there was one in birmingham and 1 in London ?

Anyone recommend any ?

Oh I remember that one in brum

Can't remember what it was called but it had a huge neon afro on the wall outside. Went in for about 15 minutes before we released that the drinks were tepid and the sound system was, frankly, ****!

Thats it! Flares!!!! And yes it was bad. Though it has been 3 years since I went last... It seemed like it opened in the seventies and hasn't moved on since. Still if you want the full authentic 70's experience, replete with awful decor, tepid drinks, 70's equipment and stranges patrons, visit it!

Personally I enjoy disco music. Twas a shame the place was rubbish...

dunno... Londons too far down south for me and too expensive

I'd get a local paper and look for somewhere that does a night like the 1 you want as flares are generally dank places full of posing muppets looking for a fight.

Get Time Out magazine, there are a couple of long running nights in London, like the aforementioned Carwash.

There's a Flares in Croydon, I had a good time there once on a Wednesday night. Mind you there were about 5 people total in there.

if you're in london and want pure cheese head to Hombres, just off oxford street near HMV...[nr ox. circus not bond st]...if you're out for fun and not a serious clubber then this is the best place to be !! oh, and you need lots of drinks too - good job they're often free
