    Would you be upset?

Imagine this, it's 10 months to the day on sunday, your other halfs dad has managed to get away tickets for the blues vs blackburn match. They have a choice of either hanging out with you or going to the football match, which do you pick?

My g/f in this instance picked the football match, i'm a bit upset that to her football seems like it is more important then spending time together on that day. Do you think it's normal to feel like this or am I massively over reacting?

True, she probably sees you everyday, plus, it's only a 10 month thing, you'd be a conformist if you were to get together every month to the day, it would indeed deem pointless.

To the day every year is understandable but to the 10 months? Wouldn't be my cup of tea, let her enjoy herself if you love her so much

Well she has a blues season ticket and goes with her dad whenever she can to watch a match. Normally every week or once every 2 weeks. The only difference is that this is an away match.

I have to admit she sees me every week day since she goes to my sixth form. Hardly see each other out of school though because of my parents so we hardly get any private time to ourselves. And it's double figures Like being ten all over again

I agree with kezzer. It's only 10 months, wait for the year and then see what she does. 10 months isnt really a big mile stone, it's generally yearly (hence anniversary ). I was living in the same house as my bf on our 10 months, but we dint do anything special lol, but our year was fun

No offence Shogun, it's only a 10month milestone. Yes it's great to be with someone for that amount of time, but how many times are you going to see her again? Think of all the times that you have been with her, and her Dad has sat there wanting some "QT" with his own daughter.

I'd agree with your partner on this one, I'd go to the game, especially if it was away, they are so much better than home matches as everyone is an avid fan, and gets behind there team.

She'll make it upto you when she gets back...

Agreed... 10 months isn't a major one... and that's more likely to be her return argument if you did take it up with her.

Easier to keep the peace and let her go...

i think she has more reason to be annoyed at for getting upset than you have to be annoyed at her in this case! i didnt even realise 10 months with my gf, but the year is gonna be big

if it helps neither myself or my g/f actually know the date we got together...we just go on the assumption its 'round about then'...when it comes down to it does it really make a big difference? you're still going out together, still have years ahead...so chill winston...

so do you get your yearly quota of exercise running for your life from her house back to yours when you wake up realising you've been wearing beer goggles?
