    Re: Vaporizers, E-cigarettes, etc.

There have been a few reports recently indicating that e-cigarettes seem to carry their own health risks and may not be the best option. I'm not a smoker so I've not been paying very close attention.

Worth noting that most of these products do mention how they are NOT intended to be used to actually quit...

What jargon? Clearo(mizer) is what you put the liquid in and vape from

You say it has a 510 connection, not Ego, what is the price difference?
Less price more what you can put on it, you'll be limited to larger clearomizers/tanks so your device will look quite silly
    http://www.smokerstore.de/WebRoot/St...D/DSC00804.JPG
(that's about as big as they get for the tanks) and it'll be VERY top heavy (which is bad for a tank made from glass/plastic as it'll be brittle)

An Ego connection lets you use clearomizers similar to the one in the kit.

The one you've got looks similar to a CE4 style clearomizer, they're absolute pants, leak from the top if not flat, can't change the coils on them (so when it's gunked up you have to buy a new clearomizer)

Can you recommend a decent looking kit that won't need much maintenance and just needs charging and refilling? I don't want to fiddle about with replacing parts all the time.
You con't really have a choice on replacing parts, coils will get gunked up and need cleaning/replacing. It's either cheaper coils that you can replace or the entire tank (would you buy a car and replace it every time the wheels were worn?), but that is about it as far as maintenance goes on most clearomizers

There is a reason it's called harm reduction, it's certainly got fewer side effects than things like Champix

Myself and 'er indoors are thinking of going over to vaping, is there anything missing from this kit? I presume this will give us a 'thingy' each?

    Re: Vaporizers, E-cigarettes, etc.

The kit looks good, just get some juice from the same place and you'll be good to go.

I assume you saw my concerns about that particular shop in a comment above, you should be ok with a one off purchase, and then if you get on with vaping you can find other shops as necessary.

You might consider getting another charger too, but you'll probably be looking in to higher capacity batteries at some point, so you should get a charger with whatever battery you choose.

    Re: Vaporizers, E-cigarettes, etc.

Its probably worth getting everything in one order from one place to begin with.

    http://myepack.co.uk/e-liquids-silve...t=25&mode=list

Have a look through that list for flavours that take your fancy. They are mostly very similar to their name. And yes, tobacco flavours are all horrible, in my opinion.

Some that i have tried, and liked, from that first page alone, are Honey, Strawberry Milk, and Coconut. Cola is usually a good bet to start with, and Banana is one of my current regular flavours. Most of the banana ones taste like those foam like penny sweet bananas you can buy!

Go for a medium nicotine strength to begin with, and only get small bottles while you experiment with flavours to see what you prefer.

In the long run, i'd recommend LT Ecigs for juice. Made to order by the owners of that site, and much cheaper than the Dekang stuff that you'll get from MyEPack. Use code LT10 at the checkout for a 10% discount too. Basils Custard on that site is my favourite at the moment, with a tiny bit of ChocoMint added to it some times.

Don't stop googling and trying to understand things. Youtube videos and Reddit are very useful and informative discussion types.

Let us know if you need a hand with anything, and let us know if you find a flavour that you'd recommend!

    Re: Vaporizers, E-cigarettes, etc.

Annoyingly nothing banana tastes like bananas, as silly as it sounds the basis for the flavouring is from a banana that is now incredibly rare due to over cultivation

Tobacco won't taste like a cigarette. It's much more of a nutty, slightly smoky flavour. Worth trying a lot of different ones to see what you like

Don't forget to order some coil heads, 5 works out as 2 each (if you get a duff one) so won't last that long
    http://myepack.co.uk/accessories/upg...coil-head.html
(go for a lower ohm one as you won't be variable voltage/wattage on those batteries 1.5ohm is around the sweet spot usually depending on the liquid)

Dekang liquids are IMO, terrible. Very little flavour and very little vapour production. I'd look at some UK made ones instead. Launch sale was £1, now£1.25/10ml bottles and cheap UK postage (based in York)
    http://www.lickwid.co.uk/shop/category?path=34

Cheap tester bottles pop up all the time, a few sites sell big trial packs for different flavours/ pg/vg ratio liquids

Any particular recommendations from LickWid Finlay?

I agree about Dekang. It was ok to get me started, but i soon changed when i began looking for other webshops.

Good call on the coils too. I usually get mine from the bay of e now, and look for the lowest price. They all seem the same quality wise.

Hmm, Likwid and myepack seem to use the same website engine, ordering and confirmation e-mails all exactly the same...

Anyway, 4 bottles for a fiver doesn't seem bad!

Any particular recommendations from LickWid Finlay?
No I'm still waiting on my order to arrive along with some high end liquid from France (US company but they produce some of it in France so it's cheaper to import from within the EU)

3 I'd pick based on flavour preference/experience would be raspberry revolution, cherry cola and forest blast

I'd avoid lime/citrus flavours for 2 reasons, they usually aren't great (berries and other fruits are usually better IMO) and the compounds in it can eat at the plastic tanks over time (making the tank go cloudy is a sign also). They're called tank-crackers commonly and need to be used in a glass (pyrex) or steel tank
