    What Present?

Could use some help deciding between the two main gifts below.
Im edging towards option 2 as I am a fan of mobile products
Option 1 is a very nice looking large screen monitor, but I am unsure of the response time...

    Please vote honestly

    Option 1 - £300.00
    Option 2 - £369.99

What will happen to me if this monitor has a low response time? I don't see what the big deal is with response times?
Forgive me if I'm being blunt or missing the obvious, but I am a noob to tft's lol

I'd get the pocket PC and a new "non Q-tec" PSU

Yeah gotta deal with the PSU, dont wanna blow myself up by waiting too long... good job xmas is right around the corner... just hold on q-tec, you will have a new home soon in the back of a garbage truck

I do feel sorry for Q-Tec tho, they are doing their best to provide the world with cheap PSU's for those who cannot afford dearer ones (not saying I cant afford them lol, just Q-Tecs are the only bloody things I see around these days)
I wonder what they do wrong that causes these unfortunate events that turns people away from them
O well it's Tagan for me now Let's hope this solves my issues with my power button which is now starting to play up

Go for the TFT, those PocketPCs is just a craze you will go through, unless you have needs for one then you'll probably hardly touch it after a few months.

    Oh pete,

low response eg16ms or below = good, games move fast without the image tearing and ghosting (looks crap- gives you a headache) of higher response time monitors eg 25ms+ which can make a monitor unuseable (for games)

Get a decent 17"tft like that Ilyama at Komplett at the moment or one from Aria (i can vouch for that myself ) and have cash for other presents

What happened to the Steve I knew who said he'd only buy decent £300 TFTs such as Iiyamas?

Only reason I still have this monitor (and another 15" sitting next to it, lol) is because I can't afford a TFT

Honestly mate this tft is stunning. Having had it for weeks now the newness/novelty has worn off and its the best thing i have bought since my ace digital camera

No ghosting whatsoever- great picture etc only thing is no dvi

Get a Viewsonic VX912 19" 12ms tft from scan, there £369, so within your budget (of the pocket pc anyway). if you read some reviews of it, its probably one of the best tft's avilable atm.

Heres the link to lowest's site: http://www.lowestonweb.com/Products/...F-50A610E9DC02
Which is where I tryed to buy it 3 times. Now given up from there, but im hoping to pick oneup direct from viewsonic tomorrow, as there main UK/european office is only 3 miles away
    Otherwise im getting from scan.

Scans site is dead forme atm, because my routers b0rked.

I think overclockers.co.uk also have it, although theres no way id buy from there with the reputation they have (read on hexus retailers feedback!)
