you can see mars tonight !!

apparently mars is the closest its been to the earth for thousands of years and its one of the only times that it will be visable to the naked eye
if you look at the moon its the little yellowie-orange bright star a little away from it
im in newcastle and mars is south-east from the moon
but that will be different depending where you are
the sky is clear up here so you can easily see it

Going to have a look when I go outside for a cigarette in a bit I saw it last Friday, which was the only time I've seen it so far - plus it was the only night it was a clear enough sky to see it.

Hope the cloud has shifted since yesterday... can't really tell when you don't leave the house other than for a ciggy

    -edit

    Too cloudy

It's very bright here in Oz. Was right next to the moon the other day - looked cool.

It's been too cloudy to see everything. We've had about one day so far where we've been able to see it

I've just been out in the drizzle and can see the moon a few stars but no mars.

How long is it visible for (weeks / months) ?
