The reason I bring this up is that recently I find myself watching a LOT of stuff on YouTube these days, in fact I'd say that it's almost killed off the kind of junk food t.v I used to have on in the background during my down time which was basically a lot of whatever happened to be on Dave. Loads of old Top Gear, weak traffic police reality shows (all of which seem to be narrated by Jamie Theakston) right on through to properly rubbish stuff like Storage Hunters.
YouTube has come down like a brass anvil however and squished 99% of that with some of the channels and shows I've discovered recently (yes I am aware that I am painfully behind the times) so I was wondering if anyone here had some recommendations they'd like to throw out?
Personally I've found myself getting really into the Tested channel which seems to be the brainchild of the guys from Mythbusters, loads of content and some genuinely interesting project logs etc. The Motortrend channel is another good one, which for me has basically replaced Top Gear with shows like Dirt Every Day, Roadkill, Hot Rod Garage and proper road tests with vehicles I'm actually interested in. There's loads more I could throw out there, Jay Leno's Garage in particular springs to mind for petrolheads but I was interested to see if you guys had anything you'd like to recommend?
