Amazon no longer put payment in motion immediately after marking an item as dispatched, instead there is a 'scheduled transfer initiation date' in place for any payments due during a given period (not sure how this date is set, at first look). To start disbursement immediately it's payable, you have to go in & click to request - kind of 'click here if you'd actually like your money asap, otherwise we'll set about payment on such & such a date hence'.
Not sure when this came in but I wasn't aware of it so someone may be interested fwiw.

quite happy to stand corrected though.
Help pages say every 14 days for set payment date, I now see. Don't know what the chances are of having made a sale that falls near that set date every time (I would have noticed if a payment took up a fortnight to even start processing). Plus I don't remember having payments other than for single items. Maybe I've just had odd timing and never noticed.. I certainly wouldn't swear how long this has been in place but can't find anything to confirm.
