I think I'll go 'summer', maybe it will help spin it off as long as possible, & we can try & forget the longest day was over a fortnight ago..
as a close second, driving songs (I'll have to fantasize I can drive for that one but nm, that would be cool).
Here's a live view of the sky where I am.

"what's that big rock in the background, then, Ted.."
Alright for some rain here..

Maybe I'll have to start arranging weekend Hexus visits, there are enough pubs, restaurants etc. to wander around, as well the the typical sightseeing, whenever one isn't just on the beach.

If best guitar gets voted in which it looks like it is, I'm jumping straight to a little known Scorpions song. Though I should have some other stuff to fit in that too.
Only problem with 'summer' is there are just so many good songs that start with the word summer, or too many fantastic remakes - something would be missed. I can think of a few good driving songs... all classic rock and earlier stuff.
Personally, I voted for guitar stuff - just hoping that if that's the overall choice, things get spread out among the artists - there are some really fantastic, under-appreciated performers out there, as well as a few that may not be as well known on either side of the mud puddle.
^ well I was just thinking summer-y, sort of, but I totally take your point.
Keeping in mind the sort of small representation so far in the poll, if it were to be guitar based, would that mean strictly instrumental, a la Eric Johnson? Or heavily guitar dominated, such as Yngwie Malmsteen?
Guitar Music it is!
So as per the previous thread we're looking for one video per post, in alphabetical order, of the best 'guitar music' you know. For a rule of thumb we'll say that 'Guitar Music' should consist of songs/music that one could listen to for the specific purpose of enjoying the guitar playing. So it should feature music either, primarily played on, or featuring, the guitar, or which has a prominent piece of guitar work/solos.
Naturally, all styles of guitar play and instruments of the guitar family.
Also, although technically a different instrument, we'll include the banjo here just in case someone really feels the urge, and because it's unlikely it would show up in it's own thread. And no, the key-tar does not count as a guitar.
For naming purposes we'll say that the word 'The' does not count for the purposes of alphabetical order.
Lastly, and hopefully unnecessary, any videos posted should fall in line with normal Hexus rules - keep it clean!
First poster up - you have the letter 'A'.

Hoping this works. Pasting stuff in from the YouTube app is a pain
In case it fails. It's bad to the bone
