    Suggest a Christmas pressie

My wife has no idea what to buy me for christmas so I suggested posting this problem on here and seeing what you guys come up with. The budget is £50, but no dvd's or game's please.

    Nice Eau De Toilet

    Maybe some books?

Or perhaps one of those weekend things, you know - experience go kart/a ferrarri/rally driving day etc.

I'll be a bit more geeky in my suggestions

    MX1000? Robosapien? DVD RW?
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

WH SMith has it at £20 ish..it'll be ACE

    Then 2 of these (2 for £10)
    http://www.oddbins.com/products/Prod....asp?sku=89727

and then 2 of these from M&S (£4 each)
    for a bit of decadence.

Thats £38 so far. £2 for parking leaves £10

and then while in WHSmith , get Benn Schotts Original Miscellany

There ya go.....and trust me..that will be a GREAT CHRISTMAS

Wondered when you would notice trhat mate.

Well she has purchased me something from the internet, and i have a suspicious feeling that it could be a Robosapien. I will take a picture of it and try and post it on Christmas day.

Wouldn't bother with Robosapien... I've been demonstrating them at my store and after 1/2 an hour, you've seen all it can do and the novelty has worn right off...

The build quality is very poor and to get it to pick things up you need pin-point precision positioning of the thing you want to grab.

You can program in different moves to run in a sequence, but only up to 14 different moves, which is very limiting.

Oh, and the remote is configured for you to use the robot with it facing you, everything on the RIGHT of the remote does the LEFT side of the robot and vice versa... so if you stand behind it to follow it as it walks, you got to remember to use the opposite side buttons...

If these were £25 all this would be fine, but at a minimum of £45 and most shops selling them for £70 or more... nah... plus Robosapien 2 is out in February, apparently...
