Anyone done good research on products that improve air quality inside a home?

I'm thinking of an air purifier to help with dust etc. I do t have a humidity problem, if anything my flat is too dry. But dust and air quality could be better as I'm near a quite busy road.

Bought an air purifier last summer due to my hayfever being a lot worse than normal. Got the De'Longhi AC 100 Air Purifier to use in the bedroom or lounge. Found it had a good effect and my symptoms lessened a lot. So I would say it works. Just make sure you get a Hepa filter one, and not some cheap thing.
