    Amazon Marketplace

Hi, was wondering if anybody could clear this up for me. I've been looking @ buying DVDs using Amazon market place, as some things can be gotten for brand new from retailers for quite cheap. However, from reading this...

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...167077-5207652

...it looks like the postage to European union countries for DVDs is only £1.79. Am i right in saying that if I were to buy a DVD from a UK seller, they would send it to me in France and the p&p would only be £1.79. Also, are they obligated to sell to people outside the UK, or can they refuse overseas buyers. Thanks for any help.

I sent a DVD to California, for about £2 or so, so £1.79 is probably right, given that it weighs probably very slightly less, and is in the EU.

The thing is I'm buying mostly Box sets, containing 3-4 DVDs, according to that link I should still only be charged £1.79 I hope.

It's always a risk I suppose, never used ebay either but heard enough horror storys to keep me away.

Why don't you use www.amazon.fr marketplace?

Most of the prices listed by sellers are double of what amazon.fr are selling. Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but the prices r high and it's not as developed as the UK and US marketplace when u compare what the Uk amazon is offering these days (DVD rental etc).

Bought off CD-WOW once, seemed alrite but they don't have what I'm looking for @ the mo. I went for www.blahdvd.com, I read nothing but satisfyed comments on other forums and its free delivery. Looks like a spin-off of the play website, with less selection tho. Prices were berrer than play (simpsons or on sale now) better than play (price wise):
    Futurama Season 4 Box Set 1 £17.99
    Futurama Season 3 Box Set 1 £17.99
    Simpsons Season 2 1 £13.99
    Simpsons Season 3 1 £13.99
    Simpsons Season 4 1 £13.99
