so as not to hijack another thread here's my effort
for those that wonder how its with olympus om1, 50mm macro, 1/60 f8 (i think). uneditted by any photoshopping or anything - just a scanned print

Nice piccy really. Really close up. Where do you lot get your well behaved cats from?
    Not around too often!

ambush them as they sleep - slowly creep up on them and then just as they wake up snap away my camera is not automatic/autofocus or anything, so means you need to be even more careful when squeezing a tricky shot off!

um i'll try and find some, I have a film that needs developing at the mo [with her on it] so perhaps in the next couple of days or so you'll have a full pic...or I manage to find one of her on a CD from an old harddrive i managed to recover after a fairly big crash i had a while back!

Well the piccy was taken literally as soon as we got her, so she was nervous
and very confused, plus our other 6mth old moggy was next to me giving her serious 'evuls' - resulting in the poor mite being rooted to the spot and very confused.

Anyway - shes fine now, very active, very playful and actually starting to get on with the other cat now ...[phew]

photo of neighbours cat taken with shiny new canon eos 300d!
he's decided to move in while his owners are away

btw - Skii - your ikkle kitty looks just like my old kitten from NZ, Zippy the WonderCat (when he was about 12 weeks old - saw him last year and he's gigantic!)

Your neighbours cat has a cloak of invisibility?

Skii - your cat is TOO cute. Sort it out!

Dammit, why are people suddenly getting loads of pics of cats!?
I don't like cats much, personally.
(although this may have something to do with the fact that my old cat attacked me several times a day, then died of cancer...)
    Damn cats...
