We have sirens that ring throughout the whole island over here. I didn't know there was going to be a 3 minute silence until i heard them

All the buses in the street stopped and the boat on the river honked to mark the start and end of the silence. It was v.touching. I was wathing it on the ITV news.
Meh our school barely had a 30 second silent let alone a minute or even three!

Our school claimed to have a 3 min silence but it turned out to be more like 25 seconds. Bit too much focus on getting the kids working here :/

Eevryone in the store here stopped. Tills, shoppers, colleagues... all stopped and observed the silence.
(except for a few 'die-hard' shoppers where its blindingly obvious to them that a mere three minutes would impact WAY too much on their day and make their food go off quicker..)
