Thumbs up Free Beer for Paypal users

Sorry for the lame attention grabbing title, but for anyone using Paypal this needs to be read. I've posted it in the above 'Tsunami Appeal' thread but thought this was a good idea that needed attention!

If you've got spare pennies in your paypal account you can donate to Unicef here: http://paypalssl.doubleclick.net/cli...ns.paypal.com/

I've just emptied my account (it was only £2.10 but every little counts) so I'm encouraging everyone to do the same

    Bruno

EDITS: The double click link is what paypal are using it's from their main page - no-one's benefitting from it being a 'double-click' link.
Paypal are also not charging any fees as stated on their donations page:

"PayPal will waive all fees in relation to the donation, so that UNICEF will receive 100% of the amount you donate."

Why are you routing it via a doubleclick (affiliate) link ?
Im assuming you have copied it from where else and didnt mean to do it, but can you remove it please

Agent: If you go to the actual Paypal website that is the link direct from their homepage... have a look: www.paypal.com. I think they just use it to monitor the click throughs on it or something?

It would be a little sick for someone to make money of this don't you think? As you don't know me personally I don't take any offence

I cant see it on the front page, so i cant really check, but double click are advertisers that often pay money for "click through's" on links, so it would be strange for paypal to be linking to them for their own services.
Generaly these links are forbidden on forums, these included. Visidigi's link is what i wanted you to edit it to
And im so glad you wont take offence

its in light blue in the images on the right.

Maybe they want to see how many people actually view that page compared to donations, and you and me have just screwed with thier analysis LOL

    Yep

As long as people donate that's all that counts to me.

uhh....too many donating threads - im not dissing donating, i have done myself and its all for good - but theres so many ways you can donate, are all these threads necessary ?

giving to an appeal or whatever would be so much better than paypal, im not saying they will, but whoever collects money for charity are entitled to 49% of whats collected, for their time collecting and their 'costs' - with all paypals fees, and dodgy feedback if im gonna donate, im not going to donate here

    i recommend here

    http://www.google.com/tsunami_relief.html

plenty of choice too....theres too many threads, i think its pretty blanket coverage i dont know anyone now who doesnt know about the tsunami, and how and where to donate money too all this talk of thousands of dead ppl is just getting me down
