Ugh, no end. Although I guess I'm getting to that age where the actors and musicians I grew up admiring are getting to that age...

    Re: RIP Alan Rickman

I think it is the same with me, the people I grew up with are getting older to.

Such a shame, he was a truly amazing and versatile actor and had such an onscreen presence in every role he played.

Very sad news indeed following David Bowie the other day

Surprisingly, for an English actor he got a few good non-villain roles. Galaxy Quest, obviously, and Dogma too. Huh, didn't realise he was the voice of Marvin in the 2005 H2G2! Although his villains are probably his most iconic performances; Hans Gruber, the Sheriff of Nottingham - true class.

    Re: RIP Alan Rickman

Very saddened to hear this, perhaps one of my favourite roles of his was in "Love Actually" a complete departure from the characters he was more commonly identified with.

But then there was his long-running role as Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films - outstanding!

    A sad day.

    Re: RIP Alan Rickman

What worries me, is that he was 69. And Lemmy was 69. And David Bowie was 69. And the Government is talking about making me to work until I'm 69.
