    ChickenPox

Ok the poll question is Have u ever had chicken pox?
If you answer with Option 2, i would like some ideas of how to combat the buggers as i seem to have contracted a large dose of them

The only thing I remember for the spots was calamine lotion, but then that was...errr...some time ago...

Calamine Cream and lots of it. (Any cool or cold cream works but calamine worked best for me - try bunging it in the fridge!)

Chicken Pox is a bugger to be sure, but you must resist scratching them, lest you have dents in your skin...

Calamine lotion is best, tho Boots do a range of 'Bach Rescue Remedy' creams that worked just as well on my kids.

    you cant combat it

calomine lotion is a must - avoid itching - dificult but avoid it if you can cos it scars like a bitch.

And hope you dont get it somewhere really awkward!

Apparently tho I've read CPs are very contageous so although i am desperate to visit town i don't want to be a fool and go giving all of Hertfordshire chicken pox or shingles :/ how will i be able to tell when they have "crusted" and i am safe to go out? Im guessing they may change appearance... o well looking on the brightside (as i always do being a jolly chap that i am ) at least now ive got it ill be immune to it in future

Oatmeal baths work well to stop the itching, so chuck a fistfull of Ready-Brek in the bath
And you cant give someone shingles, so dont worry about it. The Chicken pox viris never goes. Lives in the spinal chord iirc & 'may' re-activate itself causing shingles.

Invite all your mates round without tellin em that youv'e got it, hopefully one of em will catch it off you so you wont suffer alone, then borrow their bottle of lotion

Hehe maybe useful after they've crusted over, but til then im not sposed to get em wet according to the docs :/
Seems everything with these darn pox relies on the "crusting over" period, yet im oblivious to what it actually is :/
