The User CP is post count limited. You can find more info here; http://forums.hexus.net/welcome-hexu...r-rewards.html It's an anti spam measure, apologies for the inconvenience.

You also tripped our automated anti-spam measures which may be disabling certain features of the site which have/can be used by spammers. Again keep posting and the system will recognise you soon enough.

Just remember to keep the posts constructive and it'll all shake out

It'll all shake itself out once you hit 15 posts. Sorry I can't just turn it off, as I said it's automated.

Anyway welcome to hexus. Hope you enjoy your stay.

    Re: cannot get into settings

From memory, access to view classifieds is enabled for new members to see content, but not to respond to it. That requires, if I remember correctly, 100 posts. This is to try to prevent, or at least minimise, abuses by restricting it to members with at least some activity levels.

There have also been suggestions, from time to time, to increase that to 250 posts, or even higher.

    Re: cannot get into settings

I couldn't even see the Classifieds until I had hit the 100 post milestone, I'd have expected that to be the standard behaviour.

@OP What is your username about? Hex converts to gibberish and it's annoying me!

I thought it was too, but the permissions set in Classifieds are set to allow seeing it, but not interacting, at least for some usergroups. It was 4am when I looked, though, and the nature of the way the permissions system works means that it can be set as visible in one place, but denied somewhere else and inheritance rules mean the latter denial overrides the permission. It's quite tricky to get your head around, and for each of several usergroups. When I get a sec, I'll have a closer look when it isn't 4am.

I've had many all-nighters wrestling with the hulking mess that is vBulletin/Xenforo. I'm convinced I'd look 10 years younger now, had I chosen an alternative
