I want a leopard gecko! How much was Louie and his cage?

Just had a look at his cam before bed, and it was a no show! No sleeping Gecko, no chilling Gecko!

hehe he is cool. Tends to hide in chillout log in the day time.

He only cost about 40 quid - and a cage i got him when he was small was about 30 quid or sumthing. But he definately outgre it quickly. I looked around but was gonna have to pay like 130quid for a cage big enough and cool enough for him to use properly.
So i built him one myself. Got lots of space, quite a few shelves, with ramps n stuff - and just installed a waterfall which he luvs.
    hehe

Can you have 2 in the same cage, or will one get eaten?

    "HOUSING MULTIPLE GECKOS TOGETHER

If you want to house two or more Leopards Gecko together they must have enough space, and so so for each additional Gecko add 12 x 8 inches of floor space per Gecko minimum.

Never house more then one male together as they will fight to the death.

Geckos housed together should be of similar size as smaller Geckos will be intimidated by the larger Geckos and the larger Geckos will hog all the food."

Well, there we are then, can have 2, but need a bigger cage, must be different sex and of similar size. You live and learn.

Yeah you can have 2 but iirc you can't get away with 2 males and you have to have a pretty big tank

no - he uses daylight but the redlight you see is infra red heat lamp to make the cage nice n warm for him.

That comes on and off thru the day and nite to keep temp right.

They cant see infra red light so its great for watching him at nite times
