A lot go "missing" belive it or not (used to be friends with an officer).
Apparently seized computers / parts are the worst for growing legs and running off. Worrying really.

    realistic view

Honestly I would think that some of it gets incinerated or some how finds its way back to the drug market. I have no proof at all though, but I think it would be a hard temptation for a weak individual to pass up an opportunity to make some money. I mean how many news reports actually follow up on what happens to the drugs after they are siezed.

    Just a though.

Sold back to the general public at a profitable rate

The police realise that they're not going to win the war on drugs, so they might as well make some cash on the side.

    Seriously.

    Not.

My Sister's boyfriend's mum & dad used to both work for Gloucestershire Police and they said that at least 50% of "ceased" drugs and other goods were never declared and often split between the police on duty....

However this was 10 years ago, its either got much tighter since, or even worse..
