Electric Toothbrushes

Well - I am sick of doing all the work. So in line with my body tone up, life sorting new years resolution I fancy a nice electric toothbrush.

Budget - TBC.

I have seen the following 2:

They are roughly both the same price, any idea of which is best? Strange questions indeed...

If you have a receeding gum line electric toothbrushes can make it worse...
though it depends on how much care you take doing it normally.

Get the Sonicare, it really does make a difference. I'm a smoker, and the Sonicare I got can get rid of so much more than a standard electric toothbrush.

I got a Sonicare upon my own dentists recommendation, I'd never go back to anything else.

i used to have a electric toothbrush, but it never worked as well as my hand did so i binned it, is it really too much hassle to brush your teeth for a minute, twice a day ?

It's two minutes twice a day And a sonic toothbrush just does such a damn good job even my dentist uses them.

The Sonicare is good- too good. From my dentist... The cheap ones are a waste of time and the expensive ones clean far too well leaving the teeth perfectly clean and therefore more vulnerable to attack from plaque

Apparently its best to use the electric (if its a good one) once a week for a really good clean but normally a regular toothbrush is fine.
