EuroMillions increasing to £2.50 per play

The second price increase for the EuroMillions lottery comes in at the end of September with an additional Lucky Star to choose from.
Not quite sure this is in the players favour and think it could price quite a few people out.
I play from time to time mainly on the bigger jackpots a tenner at most on lucky dips, but this will mean I play far far less often. When it was £1.50 I played a lot more frequently and spent a lot more.
If you play will you continue playing as normal, or spend differently when the price increases?

£1.50, £2.00 or £2.50 it doesn't make any difference, it's still a tax on those who don't understand statistics.

I think most people are familiar enough with statistics to realise that they're not going to make a profit on the lottery.

Annoying that with every price hike there seems to be an extra number dropped in to make those long odds even longer. I'm not a regular player, fun to spend a few quid on the slimmest of slim chances of winning a life-changing amount when the jackpots are high, once or twice a year. The extra cost just means I buy fewer tickets.

Same as above. I don't know how they can say it's better for the players when you're paying more for less chance of winning. Same as they did with the normal lottery. Double the cost for less chance of winning?
Oh please, sign me up...

As a professional gambler, this news..... is not interesting.
It's called an idiot tax for a reason, and the rate is going up.
Everyone who's playing is obviously getting screwed, but people can play a lottery across more than one currency, meaning it's fairly clear some are getting more shafted than others, and still be ok with it, is beyond me. But, then again, I see people getting angry at fruit machines, so....
