Why have the forums titles got dots in them now?

Before: HEXUS help
After: HEXUS.help

What's the difference? Why is the dot necessary?

Just to satisfy my curious mind .

I think it looks rather odd... I preferred the previous way more than this, but still, ill probably get used to it soon..

I think it looks like poop... and its very anoying... (sorry but I like to speak my mind) but thats just my opinion, and dont get offended by it! If you want my recomendation I say loses the Hexus and the "." We all know its hexus so theres no need to have it typed evry where...

Sadly, I like the look! I guess I just wasn't used to how ever it was before, but I just like the word Hexus for some reason.
Though there certainly seems to be no real reason to have them labeled as so other than that and chances are I'm the only one odd enough to have such a fixation

As was said last time, it improves the search engine rankings so that instead of just seeing Help in a search result you see HEXUS.Help which is more informative.

took me a while but eventually noticed what you are all on about, looks odd but will look normal after a hour or 2

although im not sure if you should have .'ed the bargain forum as surely we dont want that to show up in searches or all those pesky googlers will nick all the bargains

I understand why we need HEXUS help. That's to help the search engines. But why would having a dot in there help searches?

Look - this is not up for debate, a decision was made on the branding of HEXUS and we have migrated to it slowly.

I am sorry but why all the questions? It makes no difference to people here.

It looks tider than before too - we have moved some forums about.

Some of you may be suprised to hear that HEXUS is mine, and others livelihood - at the end of the day commercial decisions are made for a reason which we do not need nor want to post on the forums.

lol... who knows! But if they want more atention perhaps they should get /.'ed agin! That should help! And if it helps peeps find what there looking for then I guess its ok but it does look like crap!
