I dreamed that I was telling someone that Otto von Bismarck was to take me to a hospital appointment and for some reason I found that so funny I actually woke up laughing, not lol laughing but that half-silent wheezy whickering that makes you sort of fold up as if on a hinge, and you have no control of. Took me a while to stop setting off again.
That I can recall - never done that before.Go figure, Freud.

I have before. Not very often, maybe once a year. I think I woke up crying once as well; but that was following a night on Gin! And really weirdly, I remember having a dream where I was in an absolute rage and woke the most relaxed and calm I have ever felt.
My Mum said she once woke up speaking French for about a minute; she only took some basic lessons in school many years before!

My wife often talks in her sleep and as I am a light sleeper, I often wake up. When I do I try to have a conversation with here and if she answers ( which she often does ) it makes no sense and it sets me off in a fit of giggles.
I've laughed in my sleep before, according to my partner, and apparently sounded like the Joker when doing so. In my defence on both occasions when it happened, I was running a 39 to 41 degree fever, so was likely delirious...

Trying & failing to catch a bus
Trying & failing to make a phone call
Trying & failing to make a cup of tea
Trying & failing to find the right money to pay in a shop
Trying to find an unoccupied lavatory..
and failing. Probably for the best.
