A bit chilly?

Many years ago I was out on Dartmoor in November, in the cold and wet, and the group I was in walked past a bicycle with a couple of Royal Marines in, snug, warm and drinking a brew and the thought crossed my mind that any fool can be cold and miserable.

That must've been some bicycle.....

Better get cold. I've just shelled out for a fresh set of winter tyres, I want to try them out! Whilst they should have been better performing over the last couple of days over summer tyres, it looks like the temperature is set to get back into double figures round here by the weekend and no sign of a further dive in the forecast.

The oft-repeated phrase during training was, "Any fool can rough it. A good soldier will make himself comfortable under any conditons". It gets drilled into you.
