Its not a robot, its a bloody great big radio control car with a gun on.

I would love to see some examples of how accurate this system is, also how easy it is to get in a position to take a shot. Just waiting for the first one to be stolen, my mate was working with pilotless artillery spotting drone in Kosovo and the locals stole bits when they found one.

From that report the robot is a joint venture between the MOD and a US holding corporation. But at £106,000 a unit i doubt this country will ever get to use them.

Seriously - I think this is in extremely poor taste to be joking about killing REAL people.

I dont have a problem with joking about it, we had a thread on suicide bombers in a VW Polo. possibly in mutch worse taste as suicide bombers do happen, wheras this is highly unlikey to be used.

No problem from me. You're the forum administrators. It's entirely reasonable for you to set the standards for the members to adhere to.

thing I was thinking was that this again allows the US military to continue its policy of 0 casualties on its side but masses of casulaties on the enemies, I think this robot encourages them to cause more casualties without any risk to themselves, which is ably demonstrated by their 'bombing' campaigns. No offence to the brave marines that assualted Najaf as that was tough but this will only cause them to be more dissassociated from the death they cause.
