Quick but of air rifle practice in the garden, then off down the pub
Need to sort my backstop out, the wood is splintering and ripping the paper.

moving the most important parts of my life from current home to new home.
ie... moving the cars and the garage tools and then the gun cabinet and PC's.
The removals men can do everything else next week

Tonight - Hoovering, then playing with my new toy: An industrial bandsaw that will rip (and crosscut) firewood sized logs like a hot knife through butter!!
Tomorrow - Blacksmithing course, followed by dinner out at a decent pub, with wife, mate and my three doggies!
Sunday - Having the wife chucked out of a aeroplane... and if she's very very lucky, she'll be strapped to a handsome Army guy!!
Going to go to the range. I have a new Walther!

I dropped my camera a few weeks ago and it ripped the lens mount flanges out of the lens. Got a replacement lens mount today and repaired the lens! Phew!
I am just going to borrow this thread to rant about the abysmal postal service in the UK.
Long story short, waited all day for a delivery due today since morning, noticed at 15:30 on the tracking system that there was apparently a ninja delivery attempt so my option now is to make a trip that is going to over an hour each way, or wait till Monday. Well, at least I was able to speak with a human within 5 minutes of calling customer service. Though in Japan, I would have been able to reach customer service at least as fast, and they would have redelivered it by 18:00. Though.. it never would have come down to that since I have never been ninja-carded in my 5 years living there.
Utter waste of time. Not to mention that I am going to have deal with the joy of taking Central Line during peak hour. Hurrah. /Rant
(Yes, worse things have happened as far as deliveries is concerned, but once spoilt by proper service it is hard to go back)

Actually yes, although mine is the compact. The P99 is not exactly the 'New Walther' any more, as it was introduced more than twenty years ago. They've released a lot of different guns since then, but have struggled a little in the US. Their newest is the 'Creed' which is gets good reviews, but is squarely aimed(!) at the budget end of the market.
The P99 is a gun I've wanted for a while. I bought one for a girlfriend a few years ago, and was really impressed with the ergonomics and the way it shoots. But I've also complained a lot about polymer framed pistols. I've been carrying a Sig Sauer P229, but looking for something just a little smaller. I'll need to shoot it a lot before I start carrying it, of course, but it's a good candidate. It's a nice addition to the safe!
A couple of hours at the bookies, a long run, possibly followed by a river swim, cleaning my house, shopping, followed by the inaugural dinner party with a couple of friends from my old village and new girlfriend.
I didn't realize when I signed up to hexus.net that this was not just a technology forum but a gun nut forum
