    Re: This Weekend?

currently eating 360g maltesers box, Tesco finest indulgent collection, thorntons continental the taste journey,400g tiramisu from lidl, 14 bags of crisps (prawn cocktail, salt n vinegar), 1 KG bar of cadburys dairy milk, and a big box of heroes.

need to eat ALL the chocolate before Monday, because the hot weather will melt them all, wont they?? don't want to spoil; them.

and to wash it all down, 2 litres dandelion and burdock.

whilst I'm eating and drinking that lot, i'll be pondering whether my neighbour will finish his big playhouse with zip-line. it still needs a roof.
and slappin around a load of imps in War for the Overworld.

might try and figure out why 4gb of ram suddenly doesn't work since I dusted PC.

Thrilling weekend printing stuff for next weekend. Next weekend helping run a beer festival with 150-200 beers/ciders on. Great selection this year including some proper strong 10% imperial stouts, lots of hoppy beers including DIPAS, some hard to find stuff on as well. Oo and trains, keep forgetting the trains

Time kinda got away from me and I'm only halfway through setting the new bandsaw.
Blacksmithing course was quite naff, as they seemed to forget to teach us anything and just left us to figure it out.
Wife loved the skydiving and wants to do it again!

I've wanted one ever since I saw it, too... ain't ever gonna get one, though, at least not in this land!

It is many things to many people. It is the Alpha and the Omega, the be all and end all, the beginning and the end, etc ...

But if you don't like guns, we can talk about other weapons if you prefer? Mortars? Swords? Polearms? Woodworking tools? Polyhedral dice?
I'm a fan of all these!

For the record, I don't feel at all inflamed by the term 'nut'. Geek is just as good.

Why do we have to talk about any preferred methods of killing people?

Nobody's mentioned anything about killing people, and I'd be concerned if they were! There's a picture of an air rifle and target shooting, talk of a new Walther and going to the range for target shooting - that's perfectly harmless. What if they were discussing archery, would you have the same issue? What about Golf, fundamentally it's still trying to get a projectile in a target?

We are talking about the live action game Killer here, right?!

Only considered a classic if you give them a small green parasol with which to ineffectively shield themselves. Same goes for pianos, safes and boulders.

It doesn't have to kill... Mortars are useful for taking out supplies, tanks and aircraft, for collapsing buildings and for rudimentary landscape gardening. Swords are ornaments of prestige and symbols of religious committment. Polearms are typically based on farming and forestry tools, and were often used for such when not engaged in warfare. Woodworking tools... well, it's up to user safety as to whethery they kill or not. Polyhedral dice - Again, it's more about taking your destiny into your own hands, on those few occasions when the DM lets you, anyway.

I will be carrying on with my getting fit and losing weight. So will likely be in the gym for an hour, both days

Started 11th August and close to 2 stone down.

Quite the mental gymnastics you're pulling if you end up comparing guns to woodworking tools.

Air rifles do kill, fyi. https://inews.co.uk/essentials/news/...gic-accidents/ was in the news just two days ago.

No more a weapon than barbed wire... Both would be considered a deterrent though, the D4 being against barefoot hippies!
But since I asserted that these dice were a weapon, I'll just throw my giant steel D20 at someone and let them try and argue otherwise!!

Clearly you've never seen just how sharp a chisel can be with the 'Scary Sharp' method, or how flippin' easy it is to lose your entire hand to a tablesaw... And melee weapons don't run out of ammo!!

Besides, I can use many things as a weapon of some sort... and most of them if I'm allowed to mod them a bit beforehand. What can I say - We creative kids had very boring lessons in school!!

Speaking of weapons - I just found out the in-laws are visiting this coming weekend.... mwah-ha ha haaaa!!!!!!
