    Another photograph thread

Well i was testing my ickle camera out to see what it could actually do and i didn't realise how well it could handle closeups. You may not say this is impressive but check it out

    http://www.kezzer.co.uk/images/random/fingersmall.jpg

I scaled it down 'cause the highest resolution was progressive as it's an effective megapixel rate. At it's full size there's only a slight quality loss and still looks good.

If you want to see what's underneath the plaster then check this:

    http://www.kezzer.co.uk/images/random/oww.jpg

That teaches me for opening a tin un-supervised! I cut the tip of my finger off, i have to go make sure it'll grow back on fine tomorrow. Lots of blood and almost passed out! (due to extremely low blood pressure though)

Anyway, what d'ya think of the close ups? Looks pretty nifty with the sepia effect. I need to try something out which is more artistic! Any ideas?

Just a warning to people, family forums so no requests for double Polaroids.

Yep it is quiet amazing what these cameras can do, will try and find a nice closeup I did hang on.

I use an Olympus OM1, with a 50mm macro lens for these shots, with fuji superia 200 (i think). my first attempts at macro photography, bit of a success I'd have to say
the bumble bee was with my bro's fujifilm s602 pro (digital camera)

the Olympus OM1 was probably the best SLR olympus made, other models seemd lacking in areas, for example - more accurate lightmetering, apperture speed setting was native to the camera and not requiring an adaptor (as it was with other models), it was FULLY manual, meaning you had to know what you were doing to get good results. its a really good camera, solidly built, takes what you throw at it and gives back so much more...

I am looking at digital cameras at the moment but they arent as robust and there's a lot more to go wrong...at least a 'mechanical' camera is fairly easy to sort out in comparison.
