Nicky Hayden - former MotoGP champion has died from complications after a serious cycle crash last week.
My favourite bit of trivia: Hayden raced with the same 69 number that his dad used throughout his career. Earl Hayden said: "I crashed so often I needed a number that read the same upside down."

Just watching Sky News about the horrendous attacks in Manchester and it has just been announced that Sir Roger Moore has died after a short battle with Cancer.
Bond for us teens in the 80's, not forgetting Simon Templer - The Saint, his work for Unicef, he was an amazing man and true film legend :(

Re: 2017 The Respectful RIP List :(
Thry say bad things come in 3's, and we have Nicky Hayden, Roger Moore and then the shocking news in Manchester, which I guess provides some context, albeit unpleasant.
So while the Manchester event is of a different order, I still feel the loss of Hayden and Moore. Hayden was always one of my favourites, and I met Roger Moore some years ago (after the Bond role had ended). I have heard it said he could he standoff-ish, but I just bumped into him in a restaurant and thanked him for some great films (and The Saint) and the enjoyment I'd had from them, and with me, he was perfectly polite, open, warm, talkative and a thoroughly nice man.
RIP Nicky and Sir Roger, and my heartfelt sympathies to those affected by the Manchester bomb.

I think it's worth an honourable mention to Clifton James, who passed a month ago. He starred in Roger Moore's first 2 Bond films as Sheriff J.W. Pepper, for what he is best known for. But has a huge career spanning decades up to the mid 90's.
This was the most professional video I could find on Clifton James, skip to 1:40 or click the link below

I mentioned him earlier in the thread mate :)
Re: 2017 The Respectful RIP List :(
Just heard that John Noakes - the Blue Peter \'action man\' of the 70\'s has died.
He probably means nothing to our younger members, but to those of that generation, his exploits were breathtaking.

Gregg Allman too :( I use Jessica as my daughter\'s ringtone on my phone...
Re: 2017 The Respectful RIP List :(
I vaguely remember him from Blue Peter in the later 70\'s but I was only around 6 year old when he left. He was in other kids / teen shows mid 80s also.
Great guy that had a hands on approach with Blue Peter
Re: 2017 The Respectful RIP List :(
John Noakes, along with Peter Purves & Valerie Singleton were all a big part of my TV viewing when I was growing up. I feel very sad that he\'s passed away.
