More than, when moving into a new place recently they where the best by miles and offered much more cover than anyone else. 60K as standard including 2 names items worth 1K each as my computers.
From memory the premium was £80. A lot less than the the three other quotes i had.

for car insurance i use direct line and they are always the cheapest for me. you get
extra discounts if you use policies together its worth checking using their online crap.
i pay 9 squids a month with endsleigh...its only a flat but it covers £1400 computer/electrical stuff, a named item upto same value and things like clothes upto £5000...not bad tbh

Finding the cheapest deal is all well and good, but be sure the cover is good. It's worth spending a little more for better cover. I found Barclays Insurance to get me the best deal and cover (can't remember the actual underwriter - Barclays are a brokers). Some of these mega cheap deals don't cover things like loss or acidental damage (basically anything you are persoanlly responsible for). It cost's me £13 a month but for what i get it's well worth and I get good 'away from home' cover. For example, I don't have separate mobile phone insurance because my home insurance covers it and also covers acidental damage and loss. There is an excess, but it still works out cheaper to make 2 claims a year for my phone than the total yearly cost of o2's insurance. A few weeks ago I got pushed into a swimming pool. I had a new phone with hours.
I would far rather pay an extra £5 a month and have total peice of mind for everything, not having to worry about whats covered and whats not.
At the end of the day it all depends on where you live; some people will get better deals from different companies at different post codes.
