    Bravehearts of the world unite!

At first glance I thought this was joke, and then I realised it wasn't.

    Self-proclaimed Bravehearts

So the question is, are they the valiant warriors of today fighting for men's rights and the desire for free-er attire, or...something else?

I wear a kilt... depending on the weather. Although I don't wear white socks pulled upto my knees - just a pair of trainer socks and shoes.

They're seriously handy in lots of situations.

Hot weather? A kilt will vent your bits better than any pair of shorts.
Bend over alot? A kilt won't reveal your backside like low-slung trousers do.
Like to run about? A kilt allows the upper legs to move fully.. unlike a pair of jeans.
Need to poo quickly? Gather it up around your waist and sit! No need to unfasten belts/trousers.
Need a girlfriend? I'll leave this one out, I think.

    -edit

PS I'm not of Scottish origin... kilts are just awesome.

I'm thinking a poll would have been good here (Admin?)

Do/Would you wear one or not?

Then when posting, specificy if you do already, and under what circumstance might you wear one?

Also specify if you are Scottish or Irish.

I've worn a kilt, (on stage with a couple of local punk bands i was in years ago) and found them to be most liberating. Tho I have to say apart from knowing I was born in england I don't have a clue as to my parentage or heritage.

My squat-mate John used to have a highland kilt tho, just one enormous long strip of heavy wool material that he'd lay out on the floor first to be able to put it on. And that was only worn for Hogmanay(sp?) & Burns night.

My mothers side of my family is Scottish (ferguson) and my uncle wears his for most formal family occasions.... he got married last august in full highland style ferguson dress tartan, he must have been boiling!

for my aunties wedding, about 15 years ago, my brother wore these little tartan trousers (how cute?!), which my cousin wore this time... they do get about a bit!
