    has anyone ever ACTUALLY tried...

    ....the old SPEAKERS ON YOUR BACK SEAT trick.

    Cos today I saw someone driving past me on theairfield I work at....and his car was BOOMING

    and he had two domestic house speakers on his back seat, with seat belts on them.

    Anyone else ever done that when their car ones blew up? *blush* like me

    A damn sight better than the stock speakers, but it was only the original Fiat tape/FM deck...

    I very much doubt there is any real difference. It would be much better to get a good quality set of car speakers without taking up your entire back seat.

    A friend of mine asked me to help him install a set of creative 5.1 P5800 speakers in his car recently.

    Cheaper than Car audio equipment and a doddle to install if you know basic wiring and I can hear him coming to my house from the end of the road now

    Yes, use a simple invertor that you can get from any car shop nowadays for the use of things like DVD's. Connect it up and position the bass under the drivers seat and volia *AWESOME* sound that will make most standard car audio equipment blush with envy

    The problem is that they are not the same impedance as car speaker and you will lose
    power and introduce distorsion.
