This is what happens when you rely too much on wikipedia:

Moderation in this forum is hilarious. I've quite honestly never seen a corner of the internet like it. I'm no 4channer or redditor, I come from normal forums where they have advertisers and profanity filters, and this is just over the top. 'You're not allowed to express personal opinions if they risk another poster potentially experiencing feelings of rejection.' Ok then, I'll keep it all to myself and just write these things down in my journal.
OK, this one made me smile...

Your reaction was a reflection of your own weakness rather than mine. I long suspected most hipsters are not all that and where would they be if it weren't for the internet. Perhaps you may want to read the article in the link to gain a more perspective of today's hipsters.
Hipsters: Because we're just not as cool as our parents were
It's a shame you chose not to mingle with the original hipsters where you learn a different mindset. They did not need the internet to be cool. My generation paved the culture for you guys and marketing. Not my fault when marketing exploits you guys. Have some respect for us.
Sir, you are either or both massively misled, misinformed, and are misapplying an otherwise fairly useful mantra of 'when you get annoyed, it's a reflection on you, not the person you're getting annoyed at'. I'm not sure why you think I 'need the internet to be cool', nor which generation I'm from, nor the idea that 'marketing is exploiting you guys' which is kinda hilarious. Respect is earned, not doled out for nothing, and having a big beard, liking flat whites, having a blog about your sole trader media business, bragging about how much ketamine you took over the weekend loudly on the orange overground, are not things on their own to be respected. Reason being, people such as that think they're 'striking out a new path that no-one else has trodden, sticking two fingers up to society, being on the cutting edge of fashion' whereas all they're doing is following a well-trodden path that was around before even our parents were around.

That came out just under 10 years ago I think. Not saying you're one of those, or that you aspire to be one of those, or that Brixton is exclusively populated by people like that - there will genuinely be, I'm sure, tonnes of cool people there that are too lazy to get out. But most 'cool' people have gotten out of the overly priced, hypergentrified areas in London, and Brixton and Shoreditch are the top two on that list by a long, long way.
Way off the mark, I'm afraid. You do realise my opinions, my timeless taste in fashion and music have been formulated way before you were conceived. I didn't need the internet to tune my tastes. I aspire to be me and true to my values.
As for the rest of your post, I just had to crack up. You are certainly in denial over my last post and I think my years of experience have completely sussed you out. I'm beginning to think you've never been to Brixton and your attempt to portray yourself as a hipster is just a charade. Please carrying on posting as I've still yet to shut the case on this for good.
Probably time I shut the case on this for good, as the thread has gone way off topic.
