    Steam changes gifting process

Looks like Steam wants to eliminate competition.

I don't know if it was implemented immediately or its to be implemented at a certain date.

Essentially if you buy a game, your being asked at that point, if its for yourself or a gift?

If its a gift, you can hold on to it then sell it or pass on at a later date? Now Steam want you to gift it to the individual at the point of sale.

Not that I was a fan of G2A but RIP

Or they just don't want the hassle of people hanging onto stuff, gifting it ages later, then having to trawl back and figure out what the giftor originally purchased it for when the giftee wants to return it....

Hmm. I buy everything on Steam as a gift, even for myself. This way I can choose to add it to my library when I want, if I change my mind I can sell or give it to someone else with little hassle.

I'd imagine any current giftable titles aren't affected.

A big thing with resellers was stocking up on sales and humble bundles then selling the games when they went back to full price a month later. Im sure this has all come from the game devs complaining to steam about the situation, i remember seeing some game dev interviews with this being a big subject.

This seems like reaching. If someone wanted to buy 'game X' they have access to the exact same source (Steam/Humble) as the re-sellers and can buy it at the discount price like the re-sellers.

I'd have thought the bigger dent to publishers bottom line is the fact that people know there is 3/4 decent sales a year on Steam and multiple Humble sales so there's no reason/need to buy at RRP.

Buying different region keys at a discount price to sell on, well, that's a another thing entirely
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

But not everyone gets the email, has the opportunity to log in, or has money at the time...

I always seem to miss the sales/humblebundles but then look on g2a and find they are selling the game for 10% more than the sale conveniently
