    Unhappy what do you do when....

    ....you buy and item off a website and when you get it, its no good. So you can return it happily to get your money back. Only thing is, I bought it on a credit card, as you do, and yesterday my wallet was stolen. So my credit cards have been cancelled. If i send my item back, all they can do is put it back onto the same credit card. What do you do????

    call CC company as although they cancel your card you still have an account so you're still entitled to the protection it gives. give them a call and see what they say, should be all ok.

    hmm, didnt think about that, so in that case would it be the credit card company returning money to me, and the company giving refund wouldnt have to?

    In a way, the same thing happened to me. My card expired just before i sent an item back. The company phoned me to see why it wouldn't refund, i told them that the card had been cancelled and here's the new one. They then refunded the money to the new card

    If you bought it from a UK company website then research the Distance Selling Act.
