    PSA : ebuyer warning

this should probably go in another section, but i thought i'd stick it here to get more views..

ebuyer currently have a 7 day backlog on any 'e-ticket' sent to them. there is no other way of contacting their customer services. my flatmate just got sent (next day delivery) a 15" tft instead of a 19" one, and it will probably be 2 or 3 weeks before it is resolved. i know they are cheap, but how about they employ some customer service??

Humm such a shame since i thought they cleared the backlog after christmas.

Returned and refunded my Memory Stick in about 5 days. The initial E-Note was returned within 40 minutes.

    Hope it gets sorted asap

Atleast they have customer services... Unlike OCUK.

I have two cpus to return to them. There phones dont work (either busy or no answer, and have tryed about 1000 times) and they have no email support.

The only way to contact them is to write them a letter. WRITE THEM A LETTER!!!!

There isn't even a forum at the moment... but even if there was... you couldn't ask for help there about it

Personally I'd drive there to return faulty goods just for the pleasure of demanding a bloody refund.

I work in a returns department, I know as a customer you demand fast turn around times but it can be very hectic when people dont send stuff back correctly. Expecially at somewhere like ebuyer where they have thousands of different products

Seems nobody cares about returns departments other than the person wanting a refund.

My mates had good support from ebuyer by enotes . . . shame he hardly gets what he wants, when he wants it and lasts more than a month in the first place.

Humm well if somebodys going to accuse me of lying then i suppose i better back myself up. This is a cut down screenshot of my RMA request to replace the Memory stick i ordered wrong.

As you will see i was fibbing when i said it was 40 minutes as it was actually only 6 minutes.

Just goes to show, my rule that i have always used - "dont buy from a company that doesnt have a phone number, email address, and postal adress" has done me proud and still holds true.

Ignore my rule ar your peril.

And also, use users.hexus.net to moan about ebuyer and ocuk, not these forums

You never hear about this issues with my 3 favourite etailers.... Kustom PCs, Over-clock.co.uk and Extreme Prometeia

Its always worth paying that touch more for better customer service imo
