Tales of the inadvertent dog-house

So I thought I'd kick off a thread for those times where we find ourselves in the dog house due to a bizarre or unfair turn of events. You know the ones, where fate, circumstance, happenchance or simple misfortune and darn bad luck see us blamed for things and you're just left thinking "wtf? That's a bit unfair there..."

For example, this morning I woke up, went to the bathroom, came back to bed and lay dozing next to my wife who was still solid gone. I felt a bid odd, went to have a crafty silent pffff but it ended up being an explosive spring-rattling roarer that surprised me and woke my wife . All day so far I've had "I can't believe you fartled me awake".

She just walked into my office/man cave, pointed to the Boss NS2 pedal and said "you need fitting with one of those!" and walked out again. I can see this going on for a while. She's jesting, kind of, I think, - so not quite the full dog house, but seriously? It's not like I did pull my finger or anything. Still...

So fire away - vent your surprise and indignation when you find yourself in the inadvertent dog-house. Best one wins a prize of... err... community recognition and online tuition into how to do a Yorkshire accent "that's nothing that, y' think ye've had it hard.... etc etc"

it was definitely just a fartle and not a shartle. Still enough to take to

me - "I can change it if you don't want to watch it"
her- "it's part way through/I don't think I fancy that/cant we watch something else (delete as necc)"

Well, I seem to live in said house on a weekly basis. My latest one was the following:

Wife goes to work and leaves me a list (I'm not entitled to weekends off work).

Said list asks me to do a number of different tasks including laundry.

During the process of said day, I buy and download Endless Space 2. Said wife comes home sometime later with me still playing said game.

I forgot to do the laundry.

It turns out (somehow) that being sidetracked by a new game is NOT a decent excuse. Who'd have thought it?

On more than one occasion I have been in trouble, because I cheated on my wife.... IN HER DREAM!!!

I hear it's not a masssively rare thing either, for women to have the hump with you because of something they dreamt you did...

I don't even get a list, I have to guess at what needs doing. If there are 5 things that need doing, and I do 4 of them, doghouse it is.
