I have a Clipper set from argos that set me back £35 about a year ago. But as its a battery/mains set it isnt really great. It lacks the power and precision of the the clippers that proper barber shops use.
Where can i get a proper clipper?

I have a Wahl clipper set that's about 15 years old, I pinched it off my mum. Only problem is that the No2 attachment that I use tends to slip on one side allowing the blades closer to my hair so I end up with loads of stripes going all over my head![]()
I got my set from Makro, a professional Babyliss set. Best £12 i ever spent

Yeh, I always get a size 1 all over when I go to the barbers, so I'm thinking of just doing it myself, anyone know any good clippers? I hear remmington are good
I have been told the Nicky Clark ones that argos do for pennies are the ones the barbers use anyway just with the Nicky Clark name slapped on them. Might be worth a try.
I don't cut my own hair...(but then mine hasn't been cut for 5 months)
the BF has a Scherna Clipper set for "tidying" sideburns and neck areas, it seems really good.
yep - WAHL seem to be the best, plugged into the wall
they're the ones I use anyway - never had any probs

Cutting my own hair would be blooming difficult, but then again i don't do the grade 1 or 2 all over look. To be honest even if i did, i doubt i'd do it myself.

Scherna ceramic clippers all the way for me, got them from ebay for about £16 and the quality is great and they don't need oiling, ohh and they have a luvely rubber grip![]()
Should outlast all the others I have tried which I ended up throwing away after a year so have a look at em but not the all in one shaver clipper set as thats not that great as I bought that by mistake 1st![]()
Founder of stupidity
The current ones i have feel plasticky and when i do 1 all over it feels uneven, it just doesnt provide that smooth all over feel of the barbershop
I have a Wahl, it was actually a dog clipper set but they're exactly the same. Can't beat that 'I didn't have to pay a tenner' freshly shaven noggin feeling![]()

Its hard to describe but the barber shop ones just do a great job of eating up lots of hair and cutting evenly.
WAHL Marcos. They are the ones that most barbers use, and its the one my mum uses to cut my hair, lol. The thing pays for its self in 3 or 4 cuts. definately worth the investment.
