I'm with you. Who better to judge?
html colour picker says 'russet' for OP's teaface - that's tea-coloured if you ask me.
On thinking about it, it appears my tea-making routine is milk first, find it too weak, tip a bit away, add more tea from pot. Every day. Says it all about my capacity to observe/learn/change.

Aliorum vitia turbaverunt me
I've been following (when I remember!) the advice given in BBC's 'In the Factory" about tea bags to let the tea brew for 5 minutes. Interestingly it doesn't make it much stronger, but it does give a deeper flavour. Using filtered water (through a Brita filter jug) makes a difference as I live in quite a hard water area.

Thanks, letting my other half know to see if she can land herself some.
Incidentally, if you really want something out there you can get alcoholic iced teas
http://www.twistedtea.com/ - Though sadly Tesco's stocked it for only a short while
https://www.harrybromptons.com/ - Available in Waitrose at last check (unless it's the one in Berkhamsted, then they seem to be out an awful lot of the time thanks to a certain Tea-Dragon blogger)
Finally, I guess I should actually share my dragon's blog
https://twitter.com/tearexteagenie?lang=en and http://tearexteagenie.blogspot.co.uk/, though our little monster has sucked up a lot of her time so posts are quite old now

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
I also did this when I was living in Maidenhead, as the water there was pretty hard. Im back up in the motherland now where the water from the tap is much nicer, but still kept up the habit.
I'm often surprised more people don't do this, not just for the taste, but also how much extra life you get out of kettles and coffee machines. I've never had to de-scale mine, I work from home and they are over 5 years old.
Surely for the cost of the water filters you could just replace the kettle every 6 months?
