    I don't really like my Samsung A300

I bought a Samsung A300 on o2 about 35days ago from the link for £120

I had a 3510i which broke so got it replaced, this broke so i just bought this phone as a spur of the moment thing without really knowing anything about it. During the period i bought it i had my GCSE's on and never had the time to use it or anything. I have only just started doing so.

It occured to me that i paid too much for it and that it isnt a great phone.

Is there any way of getting it changed or a refund. There is nothing wrong with it, i just dont like it. It doesnt do everything i need it to and has some annoyances about it.

I have all the original box, recepit etc.. and the phone hasn't hardly been used and is in mint, NEW condition.

    What can i do?

    A300

    Pros:
    - Size

    Cons:
    - Very short batter life!
    - Only can store 10sms (Inbox, outbox and templates combined)
    - Only can store 2 ringtones
    - Calculator quits and resets after a few seconds of in-activity! ANNOYING!
    - It vibrates for about 20 seconds before ringing. Most people have hung up before i hear it if i cant/dont feel it vibrate.

If i was aware of this before i walked into the store i would of never bought it. I know i only have myself to blame and i'm asking a lot of the store to take it back.

Another thing, when I was handed the box the security seal was broken. I questioned the guy on this and he said it will be OK and if anythings wrong he will remember me. Maybe i could use this to my advantage

Somehow I doubt he will remember you... I also doubt that if you went to court, something you said that he said would stand up... flog it on ebay for an extortionate price

    Hmm, it is PAYG

My friend recently got a refund for a phone he bought from o2. It did have an intermitant fault and he had had it for a while.

    Just a thought

Sell it on flea bay and put that cash towards another offline phone that you can stick your SIM in.

If you think the battery life is short on the A300 then never buy a T100

The best phone I have ever had or used by a long way is the 7210.

Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean

I suppose its luck on the day. If you deal direct with a manager or supervisor, u might get shunned away or taken in. If its a normal staff member they may play it by the book and tell u to go stick it...politely of course!

Ive had many different phones all from different manufactorers and i have to admit sony-erricson and nokia are the best so far. Long battery life from both of them, which is what i really look for in a phone.

I find living with something will often chage your perspective of it

    Sony Ericsson P800.

Had it a month. Can play MP3, MPG4 video (good quality as well!), loads of top apps you can install into it (as it carries the latest version of the Symbian OS) either symbian native or java midlets. You want mobile IRC? Remote SSH/Telnet? Instant messaging over GSM/GPRS?? You can get it. Tube maps, camera...

Triband, GPRS, WAP, intelligent rendering version of opera. Full PDA organiser functions. Flip which when pulled down exposes a full touch screen with handwriting recognition and a stylus attached to the side.

It does SO much more than just be a phone. I love it. Got a 128mb card for it and have 3 episodes of the simpsons & 40 odd OGG formated songs on it. Watch or listen on the bus, train, whatever. Almost forgot to mention top pop email client with scheduled checking and notification.

Blah blah.. too much to cover.

    Read the rest here

    Thats my recommendation. It rules!

Drop it.... repeatidly... in a bath.... of acid.

Im sure you could find a "intermittent fault" with it, if you catch my drift. Take it back and say you want to P/X it with another model, if they ask why, say you need your phone to be reliable as its important to you (make up some rubbish about you needing it for work) and that it breaking after this much of a short time doesn't say anything for its reliability.
