We have Madejski stadium and the Madejski Academy, along with numerous other buildings, organisations and institutions bearing the name of their benefactor John Madejski. Madejski is almost synonymous with Reading, in many ways... It gets mentioned daily on all the radio traffic announcements, but still people who've lived in Reading all their lives can't manage to pronounce it correctly. Even people on the local radio say it "Ma-JES-skee" instead of the correct "Ma-DAY-ski"!
