Best thing I found was to pull your bottom eyelid down as far as you can - without ripping or cause pain and then looking up and the ceiling. While doing this simply and SLOWLY guide the dropper towards the eye and when close enough drop away.
If you keep missing then prise open both eyelids lie on your back and look up into to the dropper.
yeah i know i had to put drops in last year when a load of grit from the road flew up into my eye...saw doc that evening and got some stuff but still got a bit of gunk coming out.

I just can't stand eye drops. Its the whole blinking, eye drops everywhere thing. Yuck.
