    anyone use HSBC online?

    it seems very starnge, and is asking for a username and password? i have only ever had a number i enter and then it asks me for 4 random numbers from my 6 number password aswell as my DOB..

    anyone know whats going on? it looks dodgy!

    Just logged in. It asked me for:

    Internet ID number (ex. IB******** or similer)
    6 Digit D.O.B (ex. 010150)
    and
    3 digits from my security code.

    Not sure what your logging onto but I don't think its the Personal Internet Banking.

    the real bank only ever asks for a IB number looks like you got a fake site, check the address bar!

    be very careful indeed, only go to the hsbc site via hsbc.co.uk. never go via links, especially dont click a link in an email to go to hsbc

    Sounds strange, I use my IB number, DOB and 3 digits from security code

    might be worth checking your hosts file to make sure your not being redirected even if using the real URL too.

    how did you access it? i.e. at home via their home page? direct link? wirelessly at public access point etc? and did you validate the url?
