Thats a lot better than our IT support. The usual listening to Jack Johnson or Adele, whilst waiting in the queue for infinity is enough to turn people towards Dignitas.

    Re: Scottish Power

Plusnet play a variety of Yorkshire-based/born artists. So Pulp, Human League ... Robert Palmer...!

Mind you, it's been a long time since I was a plusnet customer, after they messed me around with two consecutive house moves... shame really, as their hold music is some of the best I've every had to endure...

At least Scottish Power have a freephone number, SSE make you pay a local rate 0345 number. Unless you use this website, which is really handy:

    Re: Scottish Power

Really gutted I switched to them, 4 months after switching they doubled my direct debit based on "estimated meter readings", despite me telling them I don't have a damn key to the meter cupboard and someone needs to come out and read the meters.

Reading your own meter gets you a discount, so worth investing a few quid given the cost of energy. My last house needed a triangular key:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Meter-Box-K.../dp/B00HR4VTMA

    or something more deluxe:
