Little Rocket Man, a term I find quite derisory even of such an odd chap from another part of the world, is as riled as can be by Trumpington's two jet bombers circling over South Korea.

I cant explain the level of worry....it's a real worry though, isn't it?

It's a worry but a war is probably in the US's financial interest...as usual. Got to justify the cost of those armed forces and then there are the slew of contracts to rebuild afterwards, by companies that will almost certainly be linked to Trump....

Personally, I think it's inevitable anyway and in some ways, needed. A madman with nukes is not what the world needs, Trump at least would have people persuading him not to press the big red button without fear of their own lives for talking.

Two madmen with nukes is pretty much a aguaranteed apocalyptic scenario. I'm not throwing a single bottle top away from now on....

We've got a way to go yet in terms of conventional drills before north korea's threats of war start to suggest an impending conflict. Large scale aircraft and artillery manoeuvres, that kind of thing - and as those are for deterrence as well as training, north korea wouldn't hesitate to let us know if these were occurring (example).

From what I understand (and I haven't researched this situation in depth) North Korea is pushing all the right buttons politically simply to keep the grip on it's people of the regime and poll the propaganda engine of it's state.

It is not in the interests of North Korea to actually enter any conflict. They would almost certainly see regime change in a major conflict. Nobody actually wants a nuclear conflict. They should bank on America recognising what I said in the first paragraph and hopefully some day the dictator will step down or their will be a peaceful revolution leading to a modern democratic state.
