I would be fine for 6 hours
One SRT1000XLI, one SMX1000I, each with an extra battery pack. Multiple torches also within reach, and two battery-powered radios ready for entertainment.
Don't forget to keep a spare torch near your toilet...

I don't really have any readiness preparations (does incense count? LOL)) but I am in London. Nothing ever goes off here. I think I've had one short power cut in 9.5 years.
