Ersonally I use a small gas heat gun (part of a gas powered soldering kit) it’s a small but very direct jet, ideal for heat shrink and the like, vary the temperature by moving it closer or nearer to the work piece!

I went for the expensive Bosch Professional one in the end. Will be re-doing my watercooled rig in hard tube soon so want one with precise temp control and just liked the Bosch one as it comes with all the bits and a case. Also very impressed with other Bosch Pro tools I have.
I think in the last 10 years or so I only met one person in RL who CBA with using custom water cooling loops with their systems.

Also,having a mini-ITX rig would probably mean custom water cooling would be an excercise in annoyance although it might actually be useful!!
That must have been one expensive system!!
